The old town of Vera is sheltered by the Sierra Cabrera and Nevada mountains and has a unique micro climate, which promotes outdoor activities. Vera has a feeling of old Spain that a lot of the major locations miss out on. Every week there is a very large outdoor market which sprawls around the many meandoring streets and alleys. It sells everything from fresh fruit/veg, seafood, meat to local linen, clothes and craft ware. Just a few kilometres away is the lovely mountain village of Mojacar. Originally an old moorish village, which over the recent has been famed for it`s `Hippie` lifestlye. This really is worth a visit, just to enjoy the stunning views, or to have a meal or a coffee and relax to one of the many concerts that take place throughout the year.

For all you Golf enthusiasts the local golf courses are: - Desert Springs - Valle de Este - Marina del Torre There is a Sports Centre situated 10 minutes walk from the apartment which has a driving range and putting course, along with other sports/leisure facilities. This is available to on a pay as you use basis, no membership required.
